Advice

What We Offer

Possibly one of the most significant services we offer is advice. The main advice we offer concerns welfare benefits, housing, education, domestic violence, mental health and on job searching. However, if you need advice outside of these services, please still come along and we will do our best to find the information that we hope can help you.

Although this centre is open to all women and children, no matter their backgrounds, we have found that our advice and support services have been particularly helpful to female asylum seekers, refugees and their children.

At hand, we have English, Somali and Swahili speakers.

When Do We Provide Advice Sessions?

  • Mondays, 10am to 1pm; and
  • Wednesdays, 10am to 1pm.

How We Help?

Our advice steps are: 1) finding out the issues concerned; and 2) identifying the next steps. The next steps could involve us signposting women to different charities and services which can help their cause; but it can also involve us helping with the services in our Centre. However, as much as possible, we try to help women at our Centre.
