Over the years, we have found that one of the biggest barriers to gaining employment, increasing community cohesion and eradicating loneliness and generally improving our women’s abilities to comfortably live in their community, is the inability to speak English at a conversational level. Once this barrier is overcome, there is a marked increase in women achieving their dreams, including setting up their own businesses, and joining community clubs with English speakers (i.e. the wider community). With this knowledge, we make it a priority to ensure that we provide ESOL and Creative English courses for women.

The ESOL classes are at a basic level and intended to bring women up to the level of applying to ESOL level 1 and 2 courses in higher education. These classes run for 12 weeks. An in-house certificate is provided on completion. Please do enroll in further education if you wish to obtain an ESOL level 1 or 2 certificate.

The Creative English classes are taught together with the ESOL classes, but they continue beyond the 12 week period. These classes cover the four basics of English learning: reading, writing, listening and speaking.
